FAQ — Jack Pile

What is the Jack Pile (JP) method?

A press-in foundation reinforcement method that installs piles/posts with controlled jacking rather than high-vibration driving, enabling strengthening and settlement recovery under existing structures with reduced excavation and spoil.

What are key characteristics of JP?

Low vibration and noise, minimal excavation waste, suitability for occupied or sensitive sites, and the ability to monitor installation loads for documented quality control.

Where is JP typically applied?

Foundation strengthening, underpinnings for expansion, differential settlement restoration, structure lifting/lowering, and related remodeling works.

How does JP differ from micropiles?

Micropiles are often drilled/grouted systems; JP emphasizes press-in jacking with real-time load control. Selection is project-specific.

What is Bolt Tension (BT)?

A structural/seismic strengthening family (NET 682 lineage) using non-adhesive concepts for columns, slabs, beams, and column-removal scenarios.

Who executed the global reference projects?
